Not So Happy New Year

Well there isn't any pictures, but I should leave something about our new year. First, Michael got mad on New Year's Eve and ran away. We spent about an hour looking for him. Eventually we did find him curled up on the street in the cold. Though this did cause us to miss the showing of Avatar that we had planned on watching and everyone was so tired that when we got home they all went to sleep. I stayed up by myself to greet the new year. The next day we had planned a trip with some of Jennifer's family. We didn't get started as early as we wanted so of course we didn't all that we wanted the first day. On top of that the restaurant in the place that we stayed had several people who quit the day before and had more than they expected in the restaurant, so they were very slow getting us our food. We spent three hours in the restaurant for a meal that should have taken about 30 minutes. This was tough with three kids there under the age of six, but we managed. Many of the customers were planning a mutiny and we about ready to kill the cook and the manager. However, in the end we did get our rooms at half price and free golf carts the next day to use in the park. The next day our family came down with some virus and we had diarrhea, and abdominal pains. Despite this, I drove the whole time, but after seeing a doctor spent almost all of Sunday in bed. It may not have started ideal, but we still have hopes of making this new year one of the best ever for our family.
